Dust removal unit for paper web - has brush on leading end with blower directing air onto web surface on rear end

The dust removal unit is particularly designed for removing dust from the surface of paper web or sheet. It comprises a suction air channel (2) on whose leading side a brush is attached (1) whose vertical position can be adjusted relative to the web. The rear of the channel has an air blower tube (3) which directs jets of air (4) onto the web in a direction inclined towards the brush and against the direction of web travel. The combined action of the brush and the air jet loosens the dust into the turbulent air stream underneath the air extraction box.
