PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which enables the suppression of the decrease in the capacity-keeping rate of a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery including a nonaqueous electrolyte containing a particular halogenated aromatic compound.SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery comprises: a nonaqueous electrolyte containing a particular halogenated aromatic compound. The decrease in the capacity-keeping rate of the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having the particular halogenated aromatic compound-containing nonaqueous electrolyte can be suppressed by disposing an insulator layer between a negative electrode and a separator.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
