<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinding agent which is excellent in lubricity, stability, detergency, grinding properties, resistance to bacterial spoilage, shows reduced deterioration in its performance even after recycling for a long period of time and is scarcely affected by quality of water, in addition, provide ainding composition and a grinding process. SOLUTION: In a grinding agent prepared by dissclving a nonionic surfactant in water, the agent has a clouding point lower than the temperature at which the agent is used and of 10-60 deg.C. The grinding composition for preparing the grinding agent contains at least one of polyoxypropylene polyoxyethylene block polymer surfactant having a clouding point of (30-80 deg.C and a straight-chain nonionic surfactant with a clouding point of 10-30 deg.C. In this grinding process using this grinding agent, the grinding agent is circulated to the working point, as the agent is kept at a temperature higher than the clouding point.</p> |
