Effluent water treatment facility is intended for biological clean-up systems with variable throughputs. It is divided into treatment units, each defined by walls and bottoms, connected by openings in the walls and/or bottoms. Typically, the facility comprises a central treatment unit (10), and around it one or more additional treatment units (20, 20'). The walls (11, 21, 21') which surround the various treatment units (10, 20, 20') are at least partially in contact with each other, or form a monolithic unit. Openings (50) are arranged in pairs in the walls (11, 21, 21'). At least some of these openings are provided with flow control devices (40), which extend into the treatment space and/or lead through it.
