PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a water-stopping effect by interposing a gasket member between a water receiving tank and a water receiving tank cover of a washing machine which discharges a washing liquid in approximately the central direction of a washing/spin-dry basket from between the washing/spin-dry basket an the water receiving tank cover by the pumping effect generated when the washing/dehydrating tank is rotatably driven. SOLUTION: When wash is put into the washing/spin-dry basket 10 and the washing/ dehydrating tank 10 is rotated after water is fed via a water feed valve 25 therein, the movement to build up the washing liquid on the inside surface of the water receiving tank 12 is generated by the centrifugal force generated by the rotation, by which the washing liquid rising between the washing/spin-dry basket 10 and the water receiving tank 12 is discharged in approximately the central direction of the washing/spin-dry basket 10 from between the washing/spin-dry basket 10 and the water receiving tank cover 23. The washing liquid is circulated in the manner described above and when the washing liquid passes the inside of the wash, the dirt of the wash is removed. In such a case, the gasket member 27 is interposed between the water receiving tank 12 and the water receiving tank cover 23 to provide water stopping. Also, an overflow preventive rib is formed on the outer periphery of the water receiving tank cover 23 to prevent the leakage of the water to the outside. |
