<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera capable of effectively photographing while giving a user the high satisfaction of photographing in accordance with a photographing condition, in terms of a camera shake correcting effect and energy-saving. <P>SOLUTION: The camera is constituted so that the camera shake state may be detected by a vibration detecting part 28. The camera shake detected by the vibration detecting part 28 is corrected by moving at least part of a photographing lens 11a by a position control part 32 and an actuator 35. Alternatively, the camera shake detected by the vibration detecting part 28 is corrected by moving a 1st imager 12 in a plane orthogonal to a photographing optical axis, or performing an electronic processing of image data obtained from the 1st imager 12 by an image signal processing part 14.
