PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a safety clutch which has a long life and few failures while restraining manufacturing costs and especially contributes to reduction in size and weight. SOLUTION: A safety clutch arranged on a driving shaft for transmitting a driving force from a bevel gear and disconnecting the transmission of the force when a load exceeding set torque is applied is provided with a fixed-side clutch claw, a sliding-side side clutch claw and a sliding-side clutch claw pressing elastic member. In this constitution, a retaining ring is fitted to the driving shaft as a locking member for locking the fixed-side clutch claw on driving shaft, and an intermediate member freely fitted is provided between the retaining ring and the fixed-side clutch claw. A tapered part is preferably provided toward the shaft center direction of the driving shaft at a portion opposite to the retaining ring of the intermediate member.
