PURPOSE:To prepare uniform foams steadily, by mixing a composition ( I ) containing a chlorinated rubber, an aqueous solution of an acid, and a polymerization catalyst, with a composition (II) containing a liquid unsaturated polyester resin and a heavy metal carbonate, and foaming and hardening the mixture. CONSTITUTION:A composition ( I ) containing a chlorinated rubber, an acid (e.g. hydrochloric, phosphoric or citric acid) or a metal salt which is dissociated to become acidic in water (e.g. sodium dihydrogen phosphate or aluminum chloride) and a polymerization catalyst, and a composition (II) containing a liquid unsaturated polyester resin or a liquid vinyl ester resin, and a metal (bi)carbonate which reacts with the above acid to produce carbon dioxide gas (e.g. calcium carbonate or bicarbonate) are prepared. Then, compositions I and II are mixed in a ratio of 1:0.5-5, and are hardened while being foamed.
