PURPOSE:To obtain a manicure removing agent damaging neither nails nor neighboring skin, readily removing manicure, showing moisture retaining effects on nails free from an unpleasant smell, containing a polyethylene glycol, etc., and a monohydric alcohol in a specific ratio. CONSTITUTION:A manicure removing agent containing 10-95wt% polyethylene glycol or one or silicone polyether copolymers such as preferably dimethylpolysioxy-polyoxyalkylene copolymer shown by the formula (x is 3-10; y is 1-5; a is 10-17), etc., 5-50wt% monofunctional alcohol, preferably 2-12C alcohol such as ethyl alcohol or propylene alcohol and optionally 0.1-5wt% abrading fine particles such as silica fine powder, titanium oxide fine powder, having 0.1-5mum particle diameter as an auxiliary component. The agent is impregnated into tissue paper, cosmetic cotton, nonwoven fabric, etc., and manicure applied to nail is wiped out.
