The invention relates to modular metal furniture that can be disassembled. The furniture comprises a bottom frame (12) that can be placed horizontally on the floor and possesses two bottom channel sections (14) set apart from each other and each having two flanges extending vertically upwards; two lateral frames (30) possessing the desired contour defined by quadrilateral sections (32, 34, 36, 38, 40, 42) having four sides, each of the lateral frames being able to be fixed vertically to an outer flange of a bottom section; at least one cross member (52) forming a distance piece for connecting together the two lateral frames at the top end; two lateral panels that can each be fixed to a lateral frame; and transverse panels that can be fixed between the two lateral frames.
