<p>An appts. for producing plates or sheets of low-melting material having low strength but high adhesion comprises a horizontal extruder with a flat, narrow rectangular opening; immediately on the outlet side of the opening, a heated, horizontal plate is mounted level with the lower edge of the opening. The extruded sheet slides over this plate. Pref. the sheet contains a heated coil and a pivoting cutting and trimming knife is mounted above it to cut off successive lengths of extruded sheet. The plate may tilt sideways to discharge the completed, cut off portions onto a stacking table at the side.</p> |
