PURPOSE:To make possible the fractionation of amino acids to plural groups and to reduce the elution time of the amino acid of the strong basic group eluted thereafter by passing an amino acid-contg. liquid through a column in which a cation exchange resin and anion exchange resin are mixedly packed. CONSTITUTION:The column 2 in which the cation exchange resin and anion exchange resin are mixedly packed and which fractionates the amino acids relatively to the acidic group, neutral group and basic group is provided next to a sampler S. The amino acid emitted from the fractionating column 2 is separated with good accuracy to the individual amino acids in each group by an analytical column 3 in which the cation exchange resin is packed. These amino acids are mixed with reagents from reagent tanks in a mixing joint 8 and react therewith in a reaction vessel 9. The color light absorbancy, etc. corresponding to the concn. of the isolated amino acids emitted from the vessel 9 are detected by a detector 10. The amino acid group of the strong base is thus measured with the shorter elution time than in the case of using only the cation exchange resin and the sepn. and analysis in the shorter time as a whole are made possible. |
