The cover sheets for the book front and back faces are provided along their inner edges with respective guide rails each having a guide groove running along the middle of the rail to receive a sliding shutter that slides in or out of the spine housing to open or close the book cover. The shutter may be one or two pieces to have a magnet on the outer end for fastening the shutter to keep the cover closed. The spine housing may be divided by a partition for receiving two piece shutters without interfereing each other. The cover makes the book handy for carriage and easy for turning over pages.
