In a process for the post-combustion of gas, the oxygen is blown into the gas as a plasma. An installation for post-combustion to perform the above process comprises a tubular shell (1), with the gases circulating around the axis of the tube between the inlet end (9) and the outlet end (8). The plasma is introduced by a jet (10) aimed along the axis of the tube before the inlet.
