FIELD: methods of arms control, and namely, methods of aiming. SUBSTANCE: the offered method of aiming consists in lighting of the aiming mark, alignment of it with the center of the target image depending on the target and background brightness. The offered method differs from the known one by the fact that in the process of aiming the lighting signal is periodically varied in amplitude and color, first it is subjected to electric filtering at the frequency of amplitude variation, and then - to optical one at frequency f= nf, where fis the frequency of color variation of the aiming mark lighting optical signal, n is quantity of colors selected for lighting of the aiming mark, fis the frequency of variation of the amplitude of the aiming mark lighting signal; the numerical values of the quantity of colors selected for lighting of the aiming mark and frequencies of variation of the lighting signal amplitude should satisfy inequality 1/nf≥ T, where Tis the sluggishness of the "eye-sight" system. EFFECT: essentially improved conditions of target and aiming mark observation, enhanced definition of the aiming mark and its contrast against the target and terrain background; as a result, enhanced hit rate in the conditions of interference by 15 to 20%. |
