SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing a high purity ferric chloride aqueous solution, ferrous chloride in an aqueous solution containing ferrous chloride is oxidized by an oxygen-containing gas to precipitate iron oxyhydroxide and the iron oxyhydroxide is separated and dissolved in hydrochloric acid.
