PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method for a lamp shade made of a gourd for dried gourd strips capable of making a lamp shade window even with a dried unripe gourd for dried gourd strips, and functioning as a lamp shade and capable of withstanding the use. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method for the lamp shade made of a gourd for dried gourd strips comprises a first step for drying a gourd fruit for dried gourd strips, a second step for cutting an arbitrary part, a third step for removing a part stripped from the dried peel to form a hollow part, a fourth step for cleaning the inner wall of the hollow part, a fifth step for applying a transparent resin to the inner wall to harden it, a sixth step for forming a window for the lamp shade by partially removing the dried peel while retaining the inner transparent resin part and a seventh step for placing a light source in the hollow part.
