A real time intrusion detection system, a method thereof and a recording medium recording a program for improving system performance by reducing system load are provided to reduce system load by detecting illegal intrusion of the system. A log is received according to the system callback event of a host system(500). Log is collected by an agent unit. The log is transmitted on a real time basis. The illegal invasion of the host system is analyzed based on the received log(510). According to the analyzed result, the illegal intrusion of the host system is determined(520). In case the illegal intrusion of the host system is detected, the real time intrusion detection system corresponds to the detected illegal intrusion(530).
