According to the method of the invention, a mould (1) including a moulding cavity (3A) defined by an ingot mould (2), a core (4), and a bottom (27) is provided inside a vacuum casting housing (5) including a means (9) for feeding a liquid metal at the upper portion thereof. A means (11A, 11') for receiving and distributing the liquid metal and adapted for receiving the liquid steel fed into the vacuum casting housing (5) and for redistributing the liquid metal within the moulding cavity (3A) is provided at the upper portion of the moulding cavity (3A). The liquid metal is fed into the housing (5) so as to form a first jet of liquid steel (50) under vacuum for pouring the liquid metal onto the reception and distribution means (11A, 11'), and so as to form at least a second jet of liquid steel (52) under vacuum coming from the reception and distribution means (11A, 11') reaching the moulding cavity (3A) so as to fill the moulding cavity (3A) with liquid metal. |
