PURPOSE:To make the driven side gear follow after the drive side gear by splitting the driven side gear into fixed and movable sections thereby eliminating backlash of gear. CONSTITUTION:Before gearing with the engine side gear 7, the second pinion 6 is moving in P-direction along a guide pin 9 by means of a spring 11. When gearing, it will move in the opposite direction to apply face pressures F and R onto the engine side gear 7 upon completion of setting to produce backlashes g1 and g2. Consequently the engine side gear 7 can not vibrate freely to be geared integrally with the distributor driven side gear to eliminate backlash between them. Consequently the super lead-angle phenomena of the firing timing caused by backlash can be suppressed. |
