The present invention relates to antiperspirant cosmetic compositions in the form of an O/W emulsion, comprising, in the aqueous phase, a combination of a phosphate-containing antiperspirant aluminium salt and/or aluminium zirconium salt and a polysaccharide. The aforesaid combination leads to improved antiperspirant effect of the O/W emulsions and to improved cosmetic properties, especially reduced stickiness and textile staining. The present invention relates additionally to a method for preventing and/or alleviating physiological perspiration using the O/W emulsions and to the use of a polysaccharide in O/W emulsions for improving the antiperspirant effect of these emulsions. |
