PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery type electronic device capable of suppressing deterioration in a secondary battery by avoiding full charge without deteriorating conveniences of a user, even if user's schedule is not registered, and a method of charging a secondary battery.SOLUTION: A charging section 2 supplies input charging power during a charge command signal is input thereby to charge a secondary battery, a battery residual amount measurement section 4 outputs battery residual amount information as a result of the measurement of a residual amount of the secondary battery at the current time point, and a control section 3 supplies the charge command signal to the charging section 2 during a period needed until a residual amount of the secondary battery reaches a target charge capacity which corresponds to a used amount of the secondary battery during a predetermined second period, the used amount being determined on the basis of the battery residual amount information to be input, on at least one time point before an integral multiple of a predetermined first period.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
