PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide easy handling heat insulator material and vacuum heat insulation material of which secondary processing can easily be carried out.SOLUTION: This invention relates to a vacuum heat insulation material 6 having a core material 9 of fiber assembly 7 having at least two opposing heat transfer surfaces and a sheath 10 covering the core material 9 and the core material 9 is tightly sealed in the sheath 10 under reduced pressure. There are provided threads having a segment exposed to one heat transfer surface of the core material 9, a segment exposed to the other heat transfer surface and a segment buried in the fiber assembly. The fiber 5 is a generated thread and has a large diameter part 11 having a larger sectional area than the thread 5 and the fiber assembly 7 is compressed in a thickness direction by a tension of the thread 5. With this arrangement as above, since rigidity is given to the core material 9, a flatness of the vacuum heat insulation material is assured after a vacuum packaging or after inspection about an inner degree of vacuum of the vacuum heat insulation material is carried out.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
