Disclosed is an RGB data to RGBW data transformation system, comprising: a four-color confirmation unit configured to confirm the outputted RGBW values based on the inputted RGB value and the saturation of the inputted RGB value; an outputting unit configured to output the outputted RGB value. Also Disclosed is an RGB data to RGBW data transformation method. The RGB data to RGBW data transformation system and transformation method of the present invention properly lower the outputted W value, at the same time properly increase the outputted RGB value, and improve the saturation of the display device of the present invention while maintaining the luminance of the display device of the present invention, compared to the transformation system of a RGBW-based display device of prior art.
