PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a transmission input rotational frequency from being excessive in up-shifting by cooperative control of an auxiliary transmission mechanism and a variator.SOLUTION: As a transmission 4, a variator 20 and an auxiliary transmission mechanism 30 disposed in series to the variator 20 are disposed. A control device of a continuously variable transmission with the auxiliary transmission, is provided with up-shifting cooperative control means (Fig. 5) to achieve up-shifting as a through gear change ratio by implementing cooperative control to start re-engagement up-shifting of the auxiliary transmission mechanism 30, and to implement down-shifting of the variator 20 in synchronization with the up-shifting of the auxiliary transmission mechanism 30, when up-shifting of 1→2 is requested. The up-shifting cooperative control means (Fig. 5) implements up-shifting by the variator 20 when excessive rotation in primary rotational speed Npri is estimated and determined during a time from the start of the re-engagement up-shifting by the auxiliary transmission mechanism 30 to the start of the advance of an actual gear change ratio in the auxiliary transmission mechanism 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
