The present invention provides a method for providing an audio signal and a hybrid audio mixer for performing the same, which are capable of preventing broadcasting from being discontinued even when a breakdown of a digital mixer such as an error of software occurs. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the hybrid audio mixer comprises: an analog audio input unit which receives an analog audio signal; a digital mixer which performs mixing processing on the analog audio signal received by the analog audio input unit; an analog mixer which performs mixing processing on the analog audio signal received by the analog audio input unit when abnormality occurs in the digital mixer; a manual mode change switch which is in an on-state or an off-state according to an operation of a user; a control device which generates a mode change signal by determining a state of the manual mode change switch or determining whether the abnormality occurs in the digital mixer; a mode change switch which operates in a digital mode to receive an audio signal from the digital mixer or operates in an analog mode to receive an audio signal from the analog mixer, according to whether the mode change signal is received from the control device; and an audio output unit which receives the audio signal from the mode change switch and outputs the received audio signal.
