PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for recording a RAW image capable of properly displaying at a time of photographing and displaying at a time of reproducing.SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus generates a RAW image by photographing a subject and generates a reduced RAW image by reducing the RAW image. The RAW image and the reduced RAW image are recorded in a recording medium. At a time of photographing, the reduced RAW image is developed for display, and, at a time of reproducing, the reduced RAW image recorded in the recording medium in accordance with an instruction of reproduction is obtained and developed.
