A hub expansion element (270, 280) for a fan (100) having a fan wheel (200), with which a hub (250) and a plurality of fan blades (242, 243, 244, 246, 248) arranged on the hub and having a first side (11) and a second side (12) opposite the first side are associated for the production of a fluid flow, has an annular region (270'), which defines a first opening (270''), which is designed to accommodate at least part of the hub (250). A plurality of second openings (271, 281) is provided in the annular region (270'). Each second opening is designed to accommodate a section of one of the fan blades (242, 243, 244, 246, 248) in order to influence the characteristic curve of the fan (100). |
