This bending tube for an endoscope comprises: a front-end-side bending tube 21 in which a plurality of bending pieces 25 are continuously connected in a pivotable fashion; a base-end-side bending tube 22 that is connected to the base-end side of the front-end-side bending tube 21, and that includes a bending element in which the bending moment for obtaining a predetermined bending angle is greater than that of the front-end-side bending tube 21; and a wire reception part 29 through which an operation wire 28 is passed, the front end of the operation wire 28 being fixed to the foremost bending piece 25a of the front-end-side bending tube 21. The front-end-side bending tube 21 and the base-end-side bending tube 22 are bent actively by the pulling/loosening of the operation wire 28. |
