1. An imaging controller capable of performing image capturing with an optical zoom that optically zooms an image capturing lens and with an electronic zoom that electronically zooms an image, the imaging controller comprising:
an image data input unit configured to input image data obtained by the image capturing; a display unit configured to display an image related to the image data; a touch panel provided on the display unit and configured to perform input to receive a user-specified position for changing an angle of view of the image displayed by the display unit; an angle-of-view setting unit configured to set an angle of view of the image displayed by the display unit according to the input received by the touch panel; a zoom control determination unit configured to determine to zoom with the optical zoom when the angle of view set by the angle-of-view setting unit includes an optical axis, and to determine to zoom with the electronic zoom when the angle-of-view set by the angle-of-view setting unit includes no optical axis; and a control unit configured to change the angle of view of the image displayed by the display unit in accordance with a determination result of the zoom control determination unit.
