PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device that cancels a noise due to continuation of rotation of a taken-up sealing member without causing complication and increase in size of a configuration.SOLUTION: A developing device 40 includes a developing roller 62 that is arranged opposite to a photoreceptor drum 20, a supply screw 64, and a recovery screw 66. A developer supply part including the supply screw 64 and a developer recovery part including the recovery screw 66 store an unused developer and are partitioned from other parts and sealed by a sheet-like sealing member 78. One end of the sealing member 78 is fixed to a take-up shaft 82. The take-up shaft 82 has a gear engaging with a gear fixed to a rotation shaft of the recovery screw 66 and including a one-way clutch fixed at one end. When the developing device is rotated in the reverse direction to that during regular rotation, the take-up shaft 82 is rotated to take up the sealing member 78, and thereby enabling the use of the developing device. The take-up shaft 82 is not rotated during normal use (during regular rotation) of the developing device, and a noise is not generated due to the rotation of the taken-up sealing member 78.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
