PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fragrant insect control agent which can continue to volatilize a pyrethroid insect control component having volatility at normal temperature over an extended period and moreover can interrelate a period of providing an insect control effect by the pyrethroid insect control component with a period of providing a fragrance effect by a fragrance component.SOLUTION: A fragrant insect control agent contains: a carrier containing a resin that carries a pyrethroid insect control component having volatility at normal temperature and a fragrance component having a boiling point in a range of 250-400°C; and a paraffinic hydrocarbon having a boiling point in a range of 220-500°C.
