PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piston and a shock absorber having this piston capable of restricting occurrence of cut chips when a piston ring is installed at the piston.SOLUTION: Means for resolving the problem to be resolved in this invention in order to resolve the aforesaid object is constituted in such a way that an outer peripheral edge of a counter small diameter side end of a seat part 15 arranged at a piston main body 10 is provided with a chamfer part 15c, so that an inner circumference of synthetic resin base material J is not scraped even if the inner circumference is pushed against the seat part 15 while the synthetic resin base material J is being drawn by a die 20. Accordingly, the shock absorber D and the piston 2 of the present invention can restrict occurrence of cut chips because the inner circumference of the piston is not cut during a process in which the piston ring 11 is installed at the piston main body 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
