<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce weight and improve reliability in a rotation transmission device. <P>SOLUTION: A two-way clutch 10 and an electromagnetic clutch 50 for controlling the two-way clutch 10, are incorporated into a housing 1. Column parts 25 and 29 of a control cage 16A and a rotation cage 16B are arranged between an outer ring 11 and an inner ring 13, and flanges 24 and 28 are arranged in an external part of the outer ring 11, so that compactness of the axial directional length of the outer ring 11 and the weight reduction are attained. An armature 51 of the electromagnetic clutch 50 is slidingly supported by a support ring 30 fitted to an input shaft 22. The support ring 30 is formed of a nonmagnetic substance, and in magnetic attraction of the armature 51 by current-carrying to an electromagnet 53, a magnetic flux is prevented from leaking to the input shaft 22 from the armature 51, so that the reliability is enhanced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
