<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately acquire a position of an item displayed on a display device of a game machine. <P>SOLUTION: This game machine transmits a movement command that commands movement of an item, from a sub board to a liquid crystal display control board, and a command that commands stopping of the movement, respectively. The transmission is performed by means of a handshake communication. The item automatically moves by the movement command, and stops by the stop command. Then, the position of the item after the stop is added to a reply command for sending a reply to the sub board.
