PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain a cover member in a state of being assembled to an instrument panel main body without causing the fracture of a tongue piece of the cover member by a simple constitution even if a front collision occurs.SOLUTION: A length from a front end edge of a through-hole 8 of a tongue piece 4 up to a front end of the tongue piece 4 is set longer than a length from a right end edge (or left end edge) of the thorough-hole 8 up to a right end edge (in a vehicle width direction) (or left end edge) of the tongue piece 4. Therefore, the tensile resistance load performance of a front end portion from the front end edge of the through-hole 8 of the tongue piece 4 up to the front end portion can be improved, and even if a lower end part of a cover member 2 is pushed and pressed ahead by a knee of an occupant by a front collision, the fracture of the front end portion rather than the through-hole 8 of the tongue piece 4 can be prevented. The cover member 2 can be maintained in a state of being assembled to an instrument panel main body 1 by a simple constitution.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
