PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of improving separability of a transfer material from an image carrier at the time of forming an image on a second surface in double-sided image formation.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: an image carrier 1; charging means 2; image forming means 3; development means 4; transfer means 5; heating means 15; conveyance means 21 for conveying to a transfer part N a transfer material P heated by the heating means 15 for transfer of a toner image on a second surface of the transfer material P in double-sided image formation for forming an image on a first surface and the second surface of the transfer material P; and control means 150. The control means 150 makes, in the double-sided image formation, the absolute value of a charging potential of the image carrier 1 for forming a toner image transferred to the second surface of the transfer material P smaller than the absolute value of a charging potential of the image carrier 1 for forming a toner image transferred on a first surface of the transfer material P.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
