PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image generation system and the like capable of generating one panoramic image from a plurality of photographed images that have a few overlapping regions or no overlapping region, at a high speed.SOLUTION: A terminal has: buffer frame storage means that stores a photographed image; point correspondence calculation means that calculates a point correspondence of a feature point between images for each photographed image; camera posture calculation means that calculates a projective transformation matrix as a camera posture from the point correspondence between photographed images; inter-frame relation calculation means that stores the camera posture associating the photographed images with each other, in the buffer frame storage means; and frame transmission means that transmits to a server the photographed image selected to generate a panoramic image, and the camera posture coupling between the photographed images. The server has panoramic image generation means that generates the panoramic image transformed by the camera posture, from the photographed images received from the terminal.
