PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical sensor in which a light emission and reception portion can be thinned.SOLUTION: An optical sensor is disposed in equipment, and has a light emission element 3 and a light reception element 4 for receiving light emitted from the light emission element 3 and passed through a space S. A detection target object M existing in the space S is detected on the basis of variation of the light impinging against the detection target object M. A linear first optical waveguide 1 is connected to the light emission element 3 so that light can propagate through the linear first optical waveguide 1. The tip portion of the first optical waveguide 1 is formed at a light emission portion for emitting light emitted from the light emission element 3. A linear second optical waveguide 2 is connected to the light reception element 4 so that light can propagate through the linear second optical waveguide 2. The tip portion of the second optical waveguide 2 is formed at a light incidence portion to which light emitted from the light emission portion of the first optical waveguide 1 is passed through the space S and then incident. |
