POLARIZED LIGHT ILLUMINATING APPARATUS

The present invention relates to a polarized light irradiation apparatus having a wire grid polarizing device. The apparatus is formed such that a grid formation surface of the wire grid polarizing device attached to the apparatus can be prevented from being damaged by laying a finger or dropping an object during the maintenance of the apparatus. The grid formation surface of the wire grid polarizing device is disposed toward a light source. In addition, a filter covering the grid formation surface can be installed above the grid formation surface (between the polarizing device and the light source). The filter capable of transmitting light having a wavelength that a user wants to polarize is used.
