In an apparatus to remove a provisional welded seam (15) built in a butt joint concave groove of a steel pipe (10), the present invention relates to the apparatus to remove the provisional seam on the welded steel pipe, comprising: a transferring cart (25) which transfers the steel pipe (10) to a main frame (22); a main body (20) arranged on a moving path of the transferring cart (25); an elevation unit (30) having an elevation portion (31) movable up and down on the main frame (22); a cutting unit (40) which supports a cutter (45) by intervening a tool portion (41) in the elevation unit (30), cutting the seam (15) built in the concave groove by the cutter (45); a copy roll unit (50) supporting a guide roller (55) on a position adjacent to the cutter (45), and adjusting the guide roller (55) in correspondence to a variation of the seam (15); and a control unit (60) comprising a controller (62) to control a motion of the steel pipe (10) and the cutter (45) with an established algorithm. As such, the apparatus of the present invention has the effect of rapidly removing the provisional seam built in the butt joint part of an outer circumference of the welded steel pipe, and at the same time reducing man hour and preventing welding errors by following an accurate seam position even though the specification of the steel pipe is changed. |
