a processor; one or more memories in communication with the processor when the system is operational, the one or more memories having stored thereon instructions that upon execution by the processor at least cause the system to: receive from a root operating system by software executing in a first virtual machine a first notification of an impending system power change; in response to the first notification, take at least one first action by the software executing in the first virtual machine to prepare for the impending system power change; receive from the root operating system by the software executing in the first virtual machine a second notification of a completed system power change; and in response to the second notification, take at least one second action by the software executing in the first virtual machine. |
