<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel battery cell in which the outer periphery of an electrolyte membrane has fine sealing property and adhesiveness. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel battery cell 1 includes: an MEA (Membrane Electrode Assembly) 2 having the electrolyte membrane 20 and a pair of electrodes disposed on both sides in the direction of thickness of the electrolyte membrane 20; a pair of frames 3U and 3D holding the outer periphery 200 of the electrolyte membrane 20; a pair of gas diffusion layers 4U and 4D disposed inside the pair of frames 3U and 3D and on both sides in the direction of thickness of the MEA 2; and a gasket 5 covering at least part of the pair of frames 3U and 3D. The fuel battery cell 1 further includes: a recessed membrane storage portion 60 storing therein the outer periphery 200 of the electrolyte membrane 20; a first interposing portion 61 interposed between the pair of frames 3U and 3D; and a first bridging adhesive 6 made of rubber that bridges the outer periphery 200 of the electrolyte membrane 20 and the pair of frames 3U and 3D to glue them together. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
