The rasp (10) has an auxiliary handle (4) fitted between free ends of a rasp blade (5) and freely positionable relative to a terminal rasp handle (12). The auxiliary handle is screwed tightly or clamped at the blade. An axis (36) of the auxiliary handle lies orthogonal to an axis (14) of the rasp handle and/or the rasp blade. The auxiliary handle is provided with a clamping claw (16) for being connected with the rasp blade. The clamping claw includes two clamping elements (18, 20) with guide and support surfaces lying on each other.
