PURPOSE:To provide a titled device which eliminates the nuisance in coating by the residual gas in a flux by pressing the flux in a forming cylinder provided with vent holes to degas thoroughly the flux and forcing the flux into a flux cylinder which is exchangeable in position by rotation. CONSTITUTION:An electrode 48 delivered by rollers 47 passes through a coating head 42 and is coated with a flux extruded by a piston 40. The coated electrode is fed forward by a belt conveyor 43 and is dried while the electrode is traversed by a belt conveyor 44. The charged flux 56 on the other flux cylinder 30 side is pushed by cylinders 36, 39 to vent gas thoroughly from the flux through vent holes 49 during said time. The holes 49 are then closed 50 and a piston 35 is advanced to force the flux into a cylinder 30. The flux cylinders 30, 31 are brought to the extruding position by the rotation of a shaft 32. Since the flux is thoroughly degassed, the coating is satisfactorily accomplished and the generation of the nuisance such as blistering, offcentering, surface flawing, dislodging, etc. is obviated. |
