PURPOSE: A frequency detecting method and a device thereof are provided to determine the frequency of an analog signal according to a phase difference. CONSTITUTION: A frequency calculating part(130) determines the phase of generated pulses by sampling an inputted analog signal according to a predetermined time interval. The frequency calculating part determines a phase difference by comparing phases between adjacent pulses. The frequency calculating part continuously calculates a plurality of frequency values based on a phase difference between the adjacent pulses. A frequency determining part(140) determines the frequency of the analog signal by averaging frequency values in a predetermined period among calculated plurality of frequency values. |
