<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a step unit which makes assembling work easy and enables a rail plate member to be formed in a simple shape. <P>SOLUTION: The step unit includes a step member 3 having a pair of lower rails 21, 22 provided perpendicularly on its lower surface and the rail plate member 31 arranged in cutout parts 21a formed on a part of the one lower rail 21. Rollers connected to a vehicle slide door are disposed between a pair of the lower rails 21, 22. The step member 3 is molded of a resin material. On the step member 3, an insertion hole 23, which penetrates vertically at a position corresponding to the cutout parts 21a, and support extended parts 21b are formed extending from the side end parts of the cutout parts 21a of the lower rails 21 so as to support the rail plate member 31 to a load that the rail plate member 31 receives from the rollers.
