PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To find out a compound having a DNA polymerase inhibiting activity and to provide a novel pharmaceutical composition using the compound.SOLUTION: A novel compound having a DNA polymerase inhibiting activity was isolated from a fungus separated from a soil. Further, it was confirmed that the new compound has the DNA polymerase inhibiting activity and a cancer cell proliferation inhibiting activity.
