PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of permanent magnets used in an axial gap type permanent magnet electrical rotating machine and thereby manufacture its rotor more easily and at less cost.SOLUTION: In an axial gap type permanent magnet electrical rotating machine, all permanent magnets fitted to the face of a first rotor opposing a second rotor in the axial direction are the same in the magnet pole direction, all permanent magnets fitted to the face of the second rotor opposing the first rotor are the same in the magnet pole direction, between two permanent magnets in the circumferential direction of the respective rotors are configured of magnetic materials of approximately the same size as the permanent magnets so that the faces in the axial direction of the permanent magnets on the two sides in the circumferential direction become the same, and a magnetic flux flow in the axial direction between the first and second rotors while forming a loop to pass an armature. |
