PURPOSE:To achieve high accuracy of fusion connection by providing an environment for aligning an optical fiber accurately on a V-groove. CONSTITUTION:A fusion connector of an optical fiber is composed of a substrate 1, on which optical fibers 6a are aligned, and which is provided with a V-groove for at least having front end parts of a pair of optical fibers 6a are put together, discharging electrodes 2a, 2b for applying discharging fusion to the optical fiber 6a, and a windshield cover 3 for shutting the optical fiber 6a as well as the discharging electrodes 2a, 2b from the outside, while a lighting device 4 for illuminating the vicinity of the V-groove before and after the discharging fusion of the optical fiber 6a, is provided. |
